Ghana Waves Foundation is a nonprofit organization started in the summer of 2006.
Mission: To offer free resources such as clothing, health, education and therapeutic services to needy families and children across Ghana.
Purpose: To make a positive difference in the lives of the people we are able to assist through the Foundation's resources.

GHANA WAVES RADIO DONATES TO KUMASI CHILDRENS HOME
Ghanawaves Radio donates to Kumasi childrens home Please click on an image to view the picture gallery. | Ghana Waves Radio, an internet radio for Ghanaians in the Diaspora has donated items worth sixteen million cedis to the Kumasi Children's Home. The items included bed sheets, detergents and disinfectants. Making the donation, Adwoa Akyaa Gyimah, the Administrative Manager of Ghana Waves radio said the gesture was her office's widow's mite towards improving the lives of the inmates of the Children's' home. While assuring the management of the home that there would be further contributions by Ghana Waves in the foreseeable future, Miss Gyimah expressed the hope that the items would be used for their intended purposes. Madam Victoria Asugnya, supervisor of the home thanked Ghana Waves and urged other well-meaning individuals and organisations to emulate such an example.
Kwahu Govt Hospital Receives Donation Hospital Donation Please click on an image to view the picture gallery. | As part of its contribution to the upliftment of the rural folks and its social responsibilities, Ghana Waves Radio (www.ghanawaves.com the internet radio for Ghanaians abroad) has made a donation of Three (3) Hundred pieces of bed sheets to the Kwahu Government Hospital at Atibie in the Eastern Region.
Making the donation worth over Thirty Million Cedis (¢30,000,000) the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Ghana Waves Radio, Mr. William Kwadwo Wiafe, made it known that he once paid a visit to a patient at the hospital and upon seeing the deplorable state the hospital bed sheets were in, he discussed with his office and that yielded the donation.
He said he and his office intend helping the hospital in other areas possible in the next visit which is very soon.
The District Health Director in charge of the hospital Dr. Joseph Opare thanked the Management of Ghana Waves Radio for the gesture and promised that the items would be put to good use and like Oliver Twist, he asked for more.
Dr Opare stated that the Kwahu Government hospital lacks several hospital amenities which deters personnel from giving excellent treatment to patients.
The District Chief Executive (DCE) Kwahu South District, Nana Anwona Asante who graced the occasion also thanked GhanaWaves Radio and appealed to the Government, NGO’s, Individuals and Groups who are capable to emulate the gesture. |
