Arsenal boss Unai Emery set to deploy Ghanaian youngster Jordi Osei-Tutu at right-back

Ghanaian youngster Jordi Osei-Tutu could be handed an opportunity into Arsenal’s first team.

Arsenal manager Unai Emery is pulling the plug on the defender to fill in at right-back in the absence of Hector Bellerin who has been sideline by injury.

The Spaniard underwent surgery following a season-ending injury against Chelsea in January.

And reports say Emery is already aiming at fixing the Arsenal U23 defender at the right-back position in the team’s remaining matches having watched the player excel with the second team.

Osei-Tutu, born to Ghanaian parents joined Arsenal in a fee around £100,000 from Reading in 2015.

He remains one of the few Ghanaian youngsters to have come through the ranks of the English Club after Zak Ansah, Eddie Nketiah, Daniel Boateng and Emmanuel Frimpong.

The 20-year-old who was on the radar of several Clubs in Germany and MLS sides is yet to feature for senior team.

English scouts are also reportedly monitoring the Ghanaian who could accept an invitation to the Black Stars.
