Johnson Asiedu Nketiah, the General Secretary for the National Democratic Congress (NDC) has said his party is committed to gender-inclusive governance.
According to him, the party as a social democratic one seeks to support the vulnerable to rise to a common level in society.
“As a social democratic party, we believe in supporting and pushing weak people in society to participate in governance which includes women and the disabled in society,” he said.
Speaking on Asempa FM’s Ekosii Sen Show, General Mosquito said the party has always undertaken positive discrimination for an equal playing field to prevail.
“Even though women form a majority in the Ghanaian population, they are the minority in governance and because NDC is not satisfied with their representation in governance, we try to pull them along,” he said.
