Acting Dean of the University of Ghana School of Performing Arts, Professor Kofi Agyekum has described Peace FM’s Henrietta Twum, popularly known as Maame Afia Konadu as one of the best journalists Ghana has ever produced.
Opanin Agyekum, as he is popularly called, who lectured the ace broadcaster said Maame Konadu has left exceptional traits in the field of journalism nobody can replicate.
“In her final year in 1983, she was my student and I had the chance to supervise her long essay too and can say her professionalism cannot be compared to what is being exhibited today,” he stated.
“She made sure she was ready for her job before going behind the console, she was an intelligent, organised person and was never subjective in her news reading,” he eulogised.
Maame Afia Konadu, former host of Peace FM’s award-winning social-related programmes; ‘Wo Haw Ne Sɛn?’, ‘Mpom Te Sɛn’ and ‘Asomdwee NkomƆ’, was reported dead on Wednesday May 1, 2019 in the United States of America following a short ailment.
