Dutch football icon, Clarence Seedorf has been sacked from his role as the coach of the Indomitable Lions of Cameroon.

The not so much surprising dismissal was announced on Tuesday by the Sports Minister of Cameroon, Narcisse Mouelle Komb.

Mr. Komb made the revelation on Cameroon TV, “Mr, Seedorf has been relieved off his duties as the coach for our national team, he is not fit to be our coach” he said

“I feel disappointment, obviously,” said Seedorf after the elimination. “Also some anger, because I felt we were a little tense at a few moments. But I have to appreciate the fighting spirit of my team; the players have done everything they could today.”

Clarence Seedorf was assisted by fellow dutch icon Patrick Kluivert and therefore both are set to find a new job.

The former AC Milan star was sacked after Cameroon failed to defend their 2017 African Cup of Nations trophy in Egypt.

The indomitable Lions were defeated 3-2 by the Super Green Eagles of Nigeria at the knockout stages.

Cameroon also placed second to Ghana in Group F after defeating Guinea Bisaau, drawing with Ghana and also Benin before facing Nigeria.
