The Electoral Commission (EC) has announced that beginning Friday, October 25 to Monday, November 4, 2019, it will be ready to receive applications for the transfer of votes and proxy voting ahead of the referendum and district level elections.
In a statement signed and issued by the Electoral Commission Chairperson, Mrs Jean Mensa on Monday, October 14, 2019, the exercise will be held at all polling stations throughout the country in accordance with Regulation 22 (1) of the Public Elections (Registration of voters) Regulations 2012, C. I. 72.

The EC urged all security personnel who previously registered in the district where they reside to contact the district offices in their respective districts for the transfer of votes to enable them vote in the special voting scheduled for November 10.
The general public is informed that voters who transfered their votes in the 2018 referenda will have to go through the process of transferring their votes again as the 2018 transfer was temporal.
