The Member of Parliament for Subin constituency, Mr Eugene Boakye Antwi says if political parties have a problem with the upcoming Limited Voters Registration Exercise, they should make their concerns known to the Inter-Party Advisory Committee (IPAC).

According to the politician, the noise on radio will not yield results if the right people do not hear their concerns to clear the misunderstanding going on.

“Anytime the Electoral
Commission (EC) wants to carry out a national exercise like the registration
programme, politicians come on these platforms and become spokespersons for the
EC.

“If IPAC is not working then I suggest we get a more effective platform that these political parties can engage EC on the concerns they raise. If you have any misunderstanding and concerns I believe that is the appropriate forum,” he stated on Peace FM, monitored by Adomonline.

Mr Antwi added that
the EC has worked on elections for over 20 years and is very much aware of the
challenges every district and region face.

“At the end of the day we use the same Voters Register to vote but when it gets to a point lets trust in our institutions to deliver. Afari-Gyan was appointed by the National Democratic Congress (NDC), he declared two wins for NPP and three for NDC , Charlotte Osei was appointed by NDC but declared a win for NPP,” he stated to buttress his point.
