The Power Distribution Services (PDS) has announced that parts of the Western region will from Thursday, April 11 to Wednesday April 17, 2019 experience power outages.
In a statement, the PDS explained that the six-day outage, which is expected to last for 8 hours each day between 8:am and 4:pm, is necessitated by a request from the Ghana Grid Company (GRIDCo).
The statement mentioned that the outage is to enable GRIDco construct a 330KV overhead line between Kumasi and Aboadze.
“The areas in the Western Region to be affected are Tarkwa, Bogoso, Asawinso, Juaboso and other surrounding areas.
“The inconvenience that will arise by this request by GRIDCo is deeply regretted,” the statement added.
