A building destroyed by the rains

About 53 building have been destroyed by a rainstorm at Kyekyewere near Tepa in the Ashanti region.

The unfortunate incident destroyed a number of homes and farm products running into thousands of Ghana Cedis.

About 113 residents have been forced
to seek shelter with family and friends after their roofs were ripped off during
the storm.

Ampim together with officials of the National Disaster Management Organization
(NADMO) who visited the victim expressed sadness about the disaster.

He advised residents to pay attention to the roofing of their houses to avoid similar incidences in the future.

appealed to residents who were not affected by the rainstorm to help host the
victims.

Also, the Director General of NADMO, Eric Nana Agyemang is worried many Ghanaians do not pay particular attention to disaster alert.

Mr. Agyemang said his outfit would continue to sensitize Ghanaians  to reduce any possible disaster.
