TVET is important in the development of Ghana- Rebecca Akufo-Addo

The first lady, Rebecca Akufo-Addo has called on the country to see the importance of Technical and Vocational Education and Training as it plays an important role in the development of Ghana.

She called on Ghanaians to provide opportunities for youth interested in that sector to realize their dreams.

“Technical and Vocational Education and Training is critical for the development of our nation’s human resource. As a people, we must ensure that the areas of opportunities for the youth to pursue their dreams and aspirations are prioritised as we push towards a sustainable Ghana where there is the availability of jobs and institutions to train our youth for such Jobs.”

The first lady said this in a facebook post to announce her ambassadorial appointment as a TVET ambassador. She will be supported by some celebrities.

Martha Ankoma, Okyeame Kwame, both in the entertainment sector, Kwame Sefa-Kayi, Berla Mundi, Belinda Addardey, all both in the media industry and the CEO of McDan Group of Companies, Daniel McKorley.
