The return of the Chief Executive Officer of Menzgold, Nana Appiah Mensah, from Dubai has caused mixed reactions among Ghanaians, especially among those on social media.
One of the musicians signed to his music record label Zylofon Music, Kumi Guitar, has released a song to reiterate his claim that Nana Appian is not a fraudster as being perceived by the public.
The highlife song eulogises NAM1 as “a brave man who has fought a good fight and deserved to be praised”.
Kumi has said on many platforms that customers who have their monies locked up at Menzgold shouldn’t panic as they’re set to have them back.
Nana Appiah’s Menzgold operation was halted by the Security and Exchanges Commission (SEC) and the Bank of Ghana (BoG) last year.
The result of the shut down is that a number of customers have had their funds locked up with the gold dealership firm.
NAM 1 has since arrived in the country but is being held by the Criminal Investigations Department of the Ghana Police Service has been subsequently arraigned before court.
