Afia Pokua (Vim Lady)

Adom FM’s astute broadcaster, Afia Pokua aka Vim Lady says some media practitioners consult voodoos, fetish priests, pastors and deities to spiritually uplift them at their workplaces.

In an interview on Daybreak Hitz on Hitz FM, Friday, the broadcaster, known for her outstanding works in the media, said the only problem she has had is dealing with people who have less standards in the field of journalism.

According to her, she is a woman who wouldn’t go far from performing her duties, hence people who don’t comply with her norms sometimes frustrate her work as an editor.

She explained that, there have been situations where some people took her name to spiritual forces to deal with her because “she sent them a query or got them to be suspended for not performing their duties.”

“The people we recruit are not always of professional standards so bringing them into a professional field, sometimes, makes the work difficult. They will take your name to pastors and ‘juju’ men to finish you for suspension and memos. It doesn’t happen only in Multimedia but in all media houses and even the music industry,” she added.
